- Challenge
- Wedding dress with heavy soiling and dark grey marks along the hem of the skirt and in the lace.
- Our assessment
- We went through the layers of fabric, lace and embellishments one by one together with the care label and assessed how much of the discolouration could be treated.
- Treatment
- We chose to wash the dress: local treatment of the hem and lace with the embellishments covered, followed by gentle washing, ironing and inspection.
- Result
- The skirt and lace appeared light and even again. Wear in the fabric and any permanent discolouration cannot be treated away.
Results vary. The material, type of stain, age of the stain and condition of the textile when handed in all matter. We always assess the textile and the stain before treatment and tell you what we expect is possible.
